#TryonScarfs - Yes, I've named several scarves...

...you've named your car, right? Where Mustachio and I have not decided on names for our driving buddies, I've come up with a couple of names for various scarves in my collection.



 I planned on going through the collection in order of the pictures I've taken for this year, but...here we are (and my first post doesn't have a name yet.)

This beautiful purple number, I've affectionately named "Princess."

A beautiful friend of mine sent me a care package full of scarves; this one was my favorite of the bunch. From the moment I swung it over my shoulder, I felt regal. Walking around my apartment at the time, I felt like royalty.

It also is a call back to my nickname for the friend that sent me the care package. I met her back in 2004 while we were talking a class at the community college; a prerequisite for our massage therapy program. She introduced herself as "Princess" and I made it a point to never forget it.

She also introduced me to one of the first internet cartoons I ever viewed, and one of my favorite guilty pleasures, Foamy the squirrel from Neurotically Yours.

Her story is hers to tell, but what she has shared with me only proves great strength of character, sharp wit, kind heart and good humor carry her through her life's journey.

I'm thankful for social media to continue to remain in touch. However, a message to my friend, Princess: next time you're in the DC area, let's get together and catch up!
